Director: Rita Montoya
Rita Montoya is the original director and owner of Early Basics
Learning Academy. She has been in this position since 1991 when the
school first opened it's doors.
Mrs Montoya attended college in Colorado where she majored in
Elementary Education. She continues to complete courses at UNR and
TMCC on a regular basis.
Mrs Montoya believes that a nurturing, safe, structured and positive
preschool experience successfully prepares children for future
educational and life experiences. |

Infant Caregiver: Alda Elder
Ms. Alda Elder is the Infant Caregiver at Early Basics. She has been at Early Basics for 4 years.
Ms. Elder has an equivalent of an AA in Early Childhood Development.
Ms. Elder provides a nurturing environment for the infants and toddlers. She also is also overseeing the Two's and Toddlers.

Toddler Teacher: Jennifer Tovar
We would like to introduce the newest member of our staff, Jennifer Tovar! She is currently undergoing the Early Basics Fellowship Program and once completed, she will be teaching and caring for the Toddlers and help out with Pre-Kindergarten as needed.
Ms. Tovar has a B.A. in Education from Buena Vista University and has been working in Child Care for over 5 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge within the daycare industry and we are glad to have her helping us. Feel free to come on in and meet Ms. Tovar as well as the rest of the Early Basics Staff!

*** All Staff members must complete a background check and a TB
clearance before beginning employment. In Addition, the must complete
CPR, First Aid, Communal Disease and a Child Abuse Class.
Teachers must have either an AA or BA in Education in addition to the basic requirements. |
